Privacy Policy
NEYA is a food diary for iPhone. This page explains what the app and this website process. It is written for users and for App Store review.
Who is responsible
NEYA’s publisher can be reached at neya@trycordi.com. There is no NEYA account and no first-party server that stores your diary.
No account
NEYA does not create an account. There is no sign-in, and the publisher does not run a cloud backup of your data.
Data stored on the iPhone
Your first name, age, sex, height, weight, goals, diary, recipes, water, fasting, grocery lists, custom foods, and product cache stay in the app on the device (SwiftData and local settings). Uninstalling NEYA deletes them. The publisher does not receive this data.
Camera (barcodes)
If you scan a barcode, NEYA uses the camera only to read the code. The image is not saved and is not uploaded. Only the barcode number may be looked up locally, then on Open Food Facts if it is unknown.
Apple Health (optional)
If you enable Apple Health, NEYA reads only step count, active energy, and walking/running distance to show them in the diary. NEYA does not write to Apple Health. Those readings stay on the device. You can revoke access at any time in Settings > Health. NEYA does not use Health data for advertising.
Open Food Facts
When you scan an unknown barcode or submit a packaged-product search, NEYA sends that code or those keywords to Open Food Facts (world.openfoodfacts.org) to fetch the nutrition sheet. The request includes a “NEYA” User-Agent and neya@trycordi.com, as Open Food Facts requires. The publisher does not tie these requests to your identity. Generic CIQUAL foods stay local and are not sent. See also the Open Food Facts privacy policy.
Notifications, widgets, and Live Activities
Reminders are local. Widgets and the fasting Live Activity read a summary published in an on-device App Group. There is no remote push.
Apple system APIs
NEYA uses system APIs (including local preferences and file timestamps) to run the app. These are not used for advertising tracking.
No tracking
NEYA does not use ads, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking. The app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission. The privacy manifest states that NEYA does not track.
This website
This site is static. It does not set analytics or advertising cookies. The host (Vercel) may keep technical logs (IP address, browser, requested page) as needed to operate and secure the site. Those logs are not used to profile you.
Health disclaimer
NEYA is not a medical device. Calories, BMI, scores, and fasting are estimates. Seek medical advice before a major diet change, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have an eating disorder.
Children
NEYA is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child entered data in the app, uninstall it to delete the data, or write to neya@trycordi.com.
Your rights
On-device data can be viewed and edited in the app. To delete it, uninstall NEYA. You can also revoke Apple Health access in iOS Settings. For access, correction, objection, or a complaint, email neya@trycordi.com. You may also contact a data-protection authority, such as CNIL in France.
For data that Open Food Facts may hold, see their policy on openfoodfacts.org.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, the date at the top will be updated. The version at this URL is the one used for App Store review.
